As I'm sure you are all aware, current global economic conditions have resulted in one of the most challenging environments for the cruise and travel industry in recent history. We here at WPT Cruises have not been immune to these challenges. The recent decline in new bookings for our poker cruises has resulted in numbers so low as to directly affect the quality of the poker cruise experience that our valued cruisers have come to know and enjoy over the years.
With this in mind, it is with a great deal of sadness and deep regret to inform you that WPT Cruises will be suspending all cruise operations effective immediately.
Anyone booked through WPT will still have the opportunity to keep your booking with Norwegian Cruise Line and embark on your cruise as scheduled. You can still expect to enjoy the same quality cruise experience you have to come to know with NCL. Simply put however, we will not have a poker room or any related WPT Cruises functions or activities on board.
If you decide to keep your booking you will need to contact Norwegian Cruise Line directly from now on to arrange future payments or to address any needs or concerns you may have regarding your cruise. In the event that you decide not to go on your cruise you may cancel your booking without penalty as long as you contact NCL prior to July 3, 2009. It has been a pleasure serving you in the past and we greatly appreciate the trust and confidence you have placed in WPT Cruises. We sincerely hope that as the economic tide turns more positive we may once again be able to welcome you on board for our fun filled poker cruises.
